Egbo Inaugurates 21-Man Ughelli North Advisory Committee, Briefs APC Leaders

The Executive Chairman of Ughelli North Local Government Council, Olorogun (Barr) Jaro Movudu Egbo Ksc, on Wednesday, inaugurated a 21 Eminent Persons Group Advisory Committee of Ughelli North Local Government Area.

This is an effort to enhance development within the Local Government area and to effectively fulfill his constitutional responsibilities to the people of Ughelli North local government area.

The Committee is headed by Olorogun Obrikogho Miller Uloho (JP).

In his opening remarks, Egbo noted that the Committee was crucial for the development of the local government, as they will guide and advise the council on critical matters of development.

He briefed party leaders on his achievements over the past year, in the health sector, judiciary and community infrastructure, rural electrification, education, sanitation and environment, security, social welfare, and human capital development.

The Council boss pledged to maintain his administration’s momentum in serving the people of Ughelli North in his tenure.

He expressed gratitude to the Executive Governor of Delta State, Rt.Hon Elder (Dr.) Sheriff F. O Oborevwori, for his fatherly support and leadership.

Egbo also extend his appreciation to the leadership of the All Progressive Congress (APC) Ughelli North, Traditional Rulers, Religious Leaders, as well as Youths and Women folks, for their unwavering dedication and support for his administration.

Olorogun Barr Arthur Akpowowo, Chairman of the occasion, delivered a brief speech in which he praised the Council Chairman, for his visionary leadership in striving for a better and greater Ughelli North.

He further mentioned that, over time, additional members may be incorporated into the committee to create a more comprehensive team and to ensure that other distinguished individuals within the local government area are not overlooked.

The Deputy Speaker of Delta State House of Assembly congratulated the committee members, urging them to offer their best possible support to the Council Chairman so that he will be empowered to do MORE.

In his acceptance speech, the Advisory Committee Chairman, Olorogun Miller Uloho (JP), thanked the council chairman for the privilege given to the committee to serve the people of Ughelli North local government area under his administration, pledging the committee’s readiness to serve with dedication and to support him in achieving his expected positive results.

He prayed that Almighty God bestow upon the chairman the wisdom, courage, and resources necessary to implement his programs and projects, thereby achieving the Ughelli North of our aspirations.

The highlight of the event is the award of a scholarship cheque to Master Wisdom Chibuzor Chukwuma, the World Debate Competition Champion, who is currently in Junior Secondary School 2 at Government College, Ughelli.

This gesture fulfills the promise of a secondary school scholarship made to him during a previous visit to the office of the Chairman a few months ago.

Agbalagba (Member), Olorogun Oskar Eyovbirere Ibru (Member), Hon Stella Erhuvwuoghene Okotete (Member), Chief Peter Tobore Akpofure (Member), and Chief Eric Owhoavwodiasa Osharode Esq (Member).

Others are; Olorogun Dr Sylvester G. The inauguration of the Ughelli North Advisory Committee exemplifies the chairman’s exceptional commitment and dedication to transforming the Ughelli North Local Government Area in alignment with the State Governor’s MORE AGENDA initiative.
