An Islamic Cleric President of the Delta State Muslim Council, Alhaji Barr Mumakai Unagha has tasked the government of Nigeria to be more involved in the activities of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation.
Alhaji Unagha made the call when he was conferred with the Islamic title of Hojjatul Islam by an Islamic Organisation, Global Islamic Peace Assembly.
The Muslim leader noted that Nigeria is not committed enough to the ideal and aspiration of the Organization in which Nigeria is a member.
According to him, Nigeria should be resilient and participate in global politics for economic development.
” We should be seen occupying the front role in global affairs”
While commending the Organization for the title, he charged the leadership to always discourage violence, maintain peace at all times especially dimilisation of our youths.

Earlier, the leader of the Organisation Jafar Ibn Jabari commended Alhaji Mumakai Unagha for his effort for Islam in Nigeria, which informed the award of the Islamic title.
