In a surprised storm, more than 200 members of the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC), in Kubachi ward in Makarfi
local government area of kuduna state, have dumped the party for the Coalition African Democratic Congress (ADC).
The defectors were officially received into the ADC party on Monday as part of alignment ahead of the 2027 election.
The development comes as the ADC continued to attract opposition figures and supporters since it was adopted as the platform for the opposition coalition.
Key leaders such as former Governors, Mr. Rotimi Amechi and Nasir El-rufai have been leading the drives to welcome new members.
Just last weekend, over 10, 000 members of the APC, PDP, Labor Party (LP) and other political groups defected to the ADC in Agatu Local Government
area of Benue state, signaling growing momentum for the opposition ahead of the 2027 polls.
