The Executive Director, Finance and Administration EDFA on the Board of Delta State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission (DESOPADEC), Chief Oghenekome Reginald Okpobor has promised to initiate a special empowerment programme for indigenes of Iyede Community.

Okpobor made the promise on Monday at his office when he hosted Chairman of Atebo Community.
According to him, he will be rolling out a special empowerment program strictly for Iyede indigenes, adding that “ Our progress as a people remains my top priority”

“ Earlier today, I invited the Atebo Community Chairmen to my office because a house divided cannot stand, and Iyede must not continue to lag behind politically due to disunity”
Okpobor, a chieftain of All Progressives Congress APC further stated, “ Out of love for my community, I remain committed and have continued to personally support our people, yet it is painful that some still attempt to pull Iyede down”
“ I made it clear that I am not in government to enrich myself but to represent His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori”
“ And anyone fighting me is indirectly fighting Iyede. We must put aside misinformation, envy, and selfishness, and instead unite, protect ourselves, and work together as one”
He noted, “ Outsiders will not build Iyede for us; only unity and collective responsibility can”
