IMPLEMENTATION STRATEGY OF SEA.
SEA adopts a prevention mechanism approach to address the underlying causes of crime rather than combating crime when it has already happened. The success projection for SEA is very elaborate.

When SEA is fully implemented across the 774 local government areas of Nigeria, our country shall regain her peace, effective social and security status that brings about conducive environment for foreign and local businesses to thrive and there will be a revamp of the country’s ailing economy and a boost in public trust for law enforcement agencies and restoration of social harmony.

SEA’S DESIGN AND SCOPE

The Security Education Advocactes (SEA) is designed to be launched across the 774 local government areas of Nigeria.

THE FIRST PHASE OF SECURITY EDUCATION ADVOCACTES (SEA)

The pilot phase of SEA kicked off at Delta Careers College, Warri, in Warri South LGA of Delta State, on 13th January, 2025 and successfully continued across 60 government and private secondary and primary schools in Warri South and Uvwie local government areas of Delta State.

THE CONTENT OF SEA.

The content of SEA is a robust pack of impactful topics such as Leadership Development, Etiquette and Proper Conduct;, Fundamentals of Security, Citizens’ Rights and Social Responsibilities; Community Policing, You and Your Environment.

THE TAKEAWAYS

It is interesting to say that every session the SEA team had with the students, pupils and community/religious leaders has been quite interactive and inspiring. Of special note is their passion and demonstration of courage and eagerness to learn and grasp the rudiments of security education coupled with their readiness to shun all forms of social vices and champion national causes that will catalyse national harmony and engender growth/ development of Nigeria.
This affirms the fact that there is an abundance of hope for a better Nigeria in the coming years when our children are schooled to follow the right path.

OUTCOMES/SUCCESS STORIES

Without mincing words, milestones of progress were achieved in the course of the advocacy. These include the following: The students and pupils learnt body autonomy; how to say something if they see something; how to prevent sexual molestation and abuse; why they must protect their bodies; why they must speak up against any form of abuse; why they must avoid harmful practices such as drug abuse, substance use and stay away from all forms of crime and criminality for a better country.

SEA’S INTERFACE WITH STAKEHOLDERS
In the quest to build a formidable collaboration with relevant stakeholders across government and private organisations, SEA is in touch with the Federal Ministry of Education, The Nigeria Police Force, and has successfully reached out to the Delta State Ministry of Basic, Primary and Secondary Education; Delta State Ministry of Women Affairs, Social and Community Development; The Commissioner of Police, Delta Command; The Chairman, Uvwie LGA; The Chief Inspector of Education (CIE), Uvwie LGA; amongst other relevant agencies of State and non state actors.
