Urhobo Pipeline Host Communities’ Leaders, Etarighobe, Esquire Backs Tantita

Some leaders of Urhobo Pipeline Host Communities have reaffirmed support for Tantita Security Services Limited.

They also faulted the publication by Urhobo Progress Union (UPU) led by Chief (Barr.) Ese Gam, for rejecting the Tantita Security Service, handling the pipeline surveillance contract in Urhobo Land.

This was made known in a press statement signed by the duo of Gen.Thompson Etarighobe and Gen. Felix Ovuodoroye Esquire.

The statement was issued to Journalists on Saturday in Ughelli, administrative headquarters of Ughelli North Local Government Area, Delta State.

They described UPU’s publication as unguided, misleading, and a betrayal of development in the state and the country at large.

The leaders passed a vote of explicit confidence in Tantita Security Services and its management.

They warned President General of UPU not to drag the respected Urhobo socio-cultural group into the mould.

“Tantita Security Services is not just a company. It is a lifeline for peace, a pillar of security, and a catalyst for national economic recovery.
Since its inception, Tantita has reduced oil theft to the barest minimum, restored sanity to the creeks and pipeline routes, created thousands of direct and indirect jobs, boosted national oil production, thereby increasing Nigeria’s GDP”

” We are not pawns. We are not tools for selfish individuals seeking contracts or attention. We are the true custodians of our future. We are grateful for the employment, security, infrastructure, and opportunity they have brought. We pray for greater wisdom and expansion in all their operations”

“We the leaders of pipeline communities condemned the publication of Chief Ese Game and his cohorts, the publication is not only misleading and divisive but a calculative attempt to cause chaos, ethnic crisis in the peace loving Niger Delta region”
