Takeme Distributes Gifts, Cash, Food Items To Women in Burutu And Obotebe Communities

The Executive Chairman of Burutu Local Government Council, Hon. Chief (Dr) Julius Takeme (JP) on Wednesday, distributed cash gifts and bags of rice to Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) women in Burutu and Obotebe communities in Burutu Local Government Council Area of Delta State.

Speaking during the distribution of the items, the Chairman thanked the women for their continuous support and prayers for the success of his administration.

According to the Council boss, the women would continue to feel the impact of the M. O. R. E Agenda of our workaholic Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori”.

He said, “as we celebrate the New Year I decided to support over 1,000 women with cash gifts and rice to enable them celebrate the New Year”.

Also speaking, Mrs. Pigha Potoki and Mrs. Frederick Christmas, on behalf of the beneficiaries appreciated the Council Chairman for putting smiles on the faces of the women in Burutu and Obotebe communities.

The duo said his actions were clear demonstration of giving back to the society and promoting the well-being and welfare of the women.

Some dignitaries present with the Council Chairman during the distribution includes; Mrs. Georgina Evah, Vice Chairman Burutu Local Government Council, Hon. Chief Pudigha Biakpara, Supervisor For Works, Mr Philemon Yamene, Principal Secretary to the Local Government Council Chairman, Mark Okou, Vice Chairman Burutu Local Government PDP, Mr Grade-One Clark , Technical Adviser to the Council Chairman on Media and Public Communication, Barrister Alex Akemotubo and a host of others.
