Senator Joel-Onovwakpo Thomas, representing Delta South Senatorial District, Delta State, has thrown his weight behind Senator Ned Nwoko’s bill seeking for the creation of Anioma State
Ned Nwoko represents Delta North Senatorial District in the Senate.
Senator Joel-Onovwakpo Thomas gave his support to creation of Anioma State on Thursday, posted on Facebook page.
He said, “ As the senator representing Delta South senatorial district, I have followed with keen interest and I support the bill being sponsored by my colleague Sen Ned Nwoko for the creation of Anioma State in the ongoing constitutional amendment”
“ The creation of the Anioma State will resolve the imbalance of States in South East geo political zone”
“ It is also important to note that, the creation of Anioma State, will give way to the creation of a truly Delta State with the headquarter to be sited in a centrally acceptable place”
“ I therefore urge every Nigerian to support the creation of Anioma State”
