A Suleja based house-wife, Hajiya zainab Abdulfatah has narrated how the Police saved her life, children and house from being burnt by Vigilante.
She spoke to newsmen on Saturday, while raising alarm over threat to her and children by some people who claimed to be a vigilante group in Suleja, Niger State.
The mother of six children alleged that some vigilante personnel stormed her matrimonial home in Gabodan area of Suleja.
She explained that the Vigilante men said her husband, Abdullahifatah Shuaib was allegedly involved in same sex marital affair with one Wahab who is currently in their custody.
According to her ” When the vigilante group and the Muslim in the community stormed my house they asked me to provide my husband or I face the consequences of the crime committed by my husband against Islam religion in the area, they continued saying that even a housefly of the house will not be spared failing to provide my husband”
“ I over heard the elderly ones among them putting their heads together discussing how to set our house ablaze if I fail to tell them my husband whereabout”
“ As it’s now my life is seriously in jeopardy as they keep coming to the house day in day out threatening me and my children to provide the delinquent failure to do so, our lives will be claimed for the offense me and my children did not commit”
“ The case is getting worse day by day because my husband was one of the religious leaders in the area that nobody could ever believe he could get involved in that kind of mess”
Abdulfatah stated that she could no longer sleep with her eyes closed with children for fear of being attacked in the midnight.
