The Coordinator for Sheriff Again 2027, Burutu Local Government Chapter, has congratulated his boss and leader, Hon. Chief (Dr.) Julius Takeme (JP), on his successful one year in office as the Executive Chairman of Burutu Local Government Area.
He also commended Takeme on his laudable performance and achievements made in one year.
In a congratulatory message made available to newsmen in Warri, Tuesday, 15th July 2025, Iyebo described Takeme as a role model and visionary leader who has contributed immensely to the growth and development of Burutu Local Government Area.
Stating that in all ramifications, Takeme has done beyond reasonable doubt in infrastructure, human capital development, security, healthcare, education and workers welfare.
Iyebo commended the Burutu Council Boss’s dedication and unwavering commitment to infrastructural development, peacebuilding, education and healthcare, unity and progress.
Adding that Takeme’s administration has demonstrated a clear understanding of the yearnings and aspirations of the Burutu people.
He listed projects that were successfully executed and others already approved for execution.
- Construction of an 8- rooms toilet facility for the Delta State Marine Polytechnic, Burutu with Water system.
- Construction of 8-rooms toilet facility at Burutu market with water system.
- Procurement of quality healthcare equipment/materials for Ofougbene Primary Healthcare Center.
- Procurement of health equipment and materials for Labouseigha Primary Healthcare Center to kick-start the health care service delivery.
- The establishment of First Bank in Burutu Local Government Council, facilitated by the Chairman.
- The engagement of about 200 women as (sweepers) to keep the headquarters of Burutu Local Government Council clean.
- The renovation of Chairman’s lodge.
- Completed the construction of residential quarters of the Area Customery Court President
- Renovation of the Vice Chairman’s residence.
- The construction/ rehabilitation of the Principal Secretary’s residential quarters.
- Completed the reconstruction of HOD Environment/Internal Auditor’s residential quarters.
- Renovation of the Secretary to the Local Government Council residential quarters.
- Reconstruction of HOD Works/Establishment Officers Lodge.
- Completed the reconstruction of maternity and secretariat roads.
- Provision of portable water
- Construction of a landing jetty/construction of toilet and purchase of plastic chairs at Kenlogbene Community
- Dr. Julius Takeme offered financial assistance to various individuals across the local government Council Area.
- Purchased four (4) brand new vehicles to appointees and senior staff of the council.
- Construction of internal roads within Burutu main-town
- Prompt payment of workers salary.
In addition, the Executive Chairman of Burutu Local Government Area has graciously approved the following projects to be executed.
- Construction of Tuomor Community Internal Access Road
- Construction of Tebegbe/Tamigbe Access Bridge
- The council chairman has approved the Construction of a Modern Secretariat in Burutu.
- The Construction of a Modern Legislative chamber
- The construction of the road to Ogulagha community waterfront.
