The Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa led administration in August, 2023, sworn in 17 prominent sons and daughters of Nasarawa State as Commissioners to oversee the various government ministries.
They were subjected to legislative process of screening and confirmation by the Nasarawa State House of Assembly.

Hon. TPL Bala Ibrahim Mulki and 16 others were eventually screened, confirmed and afterwards sworn in.
Mulki was assigned as Commissioner for Lands , Survey and Urban Development.
It is exactly one year into his appointment with laudable impact despite the economy hardship and the challenges in ensuring that administrative principles to achieving the mandate of the ministry is top priority and inline with the vision of the governor which is to create conducive environment to all habitats of Nasarawa State.
Honourable TPL Bala Ibrahim Mulki as Commissioner of Lands and Urban Development represents the slot of Keffi Local Government Area.
His stewardship is laudable because he has shown and demonstrated quality leadership, accountability, transparency and as well proven his total loyalty His Excellency, Engineer Abdullahi Sule, Executive Governor of Nasarawa State.
Mulki’s administrative policy led to tremendous stride in the development of the state by exhibiting capacity in management, building infrastructure and improving staff skills geared towards revenue generation and enhanced physical planning.
Our Correspondent takes a peep into his stewardship.
MOBILITY:
The Commissioner on assumption of office saw the need for ease of transportation and he quickly acquired 2 Hilux and refurbished existing vehicles.
Collaboration and Productivity:
He initiated meetings with key agencies (NUDB, NAGIS) to enhance productivity and revenue generation. The Commissioner also took a bold step to address Land Encroachment on Government Lands (Land Banks).
TRAINING:
The Commissioner ensured that Staff were trained. He collaborated with National Productivity Centre to train staff on productivity concepts.
He promptly signed of Certificates of Occupancy, where a total numbers of 1,894 Certificates of Occupancy (C of O) are signed within a year.
The Commissioner allocated lands for various projects, including the 2000 Housing Units for Nigeria Police Force (PHS Lafia), Orphanage Home Nigeria Gwandara Karu L.G.C (Mada S. Chagwu) and LPG in the 3 Senatorial Zones.
Bala Mulki digitized the ministry and developed a website with a state-of-the-art ICT centre to enhance digital economy.
He acquired parcels of land for various projects, including the dualization of Akwanga Township Roads, construction of Fly-over and underpass along Jos Markurdi Road in Lafia the state capital.
The Commissioner provided strategic leadership and direction with the strong team he inherited in the Ministry.
The team are experienced professionals, including the Permanent Secretary and Directors.
