NPC Federal Commissioner Embarks On E-Birth Registration Tour In Delta

The Honorable Federal Commissioner representing Delta State in the National Population Commission, Hon Mrs. Blessyn Brume-Ataguba has began an e-birth registration inspection tour in Udu LGA, emphasizing the role of mothers in helping government in carrying out special assignments like birth records in the society..

At the Egini Primary Health Care Center, Mrs. Brume-Ataguba met with Mrs. Oghenekevwe Wells, NPC Comptroller for Udu, and Mr. Ovo Odibo, ICT Ughelli cluster where the significance of E-Birth registration was explained.

Addressing mothers, she emphasized their vital role in families and encouraged them to leverage the convenient e-birth registration initiative whenever the need arises.

Mrs. Roseline Kpoma, Head of the Health Care Center, thanked the Federal Commissioner for her visit and praised the e-birth registration initiative for children aged 0-5.

Later at Ogodogu Street in Ovwian, Mrs. Brume-Ataguba addressed Adhoc staff and urged mothers to participate in the ongoing e-birth registration, stressing that when fully embraced, access to information on birth records would be faster and without stress in order to guarantee seamless National planning and development.

“This initiative backed by the federal government and UNICEF, aims to boost birth registration for children aged 0-5, enhancing governance, planning, and service delivery”, she said.

The PHC Egini Adhoc staff during the visit to Egini include Ozele Daniel and Orovwakpo Ojevwe while at Ovwian, Bilogun Edna and Baruakpo Happy Edaghogho were available.
