Non profit organization, AILRIN inaugurate executives in Niger

A Non Governmental Organization,(NGO), called Advocacy For Integrity and Rule of Law (AIRLIN), has inaugurated its members in Niger state,

The NGO was aimed at fostering a culture of integrity, accountability,and respect for the rule of law in Nigeria through advocacy.

Its National Chairman of Advocacy for Integrity and Rule of Law in Nigeria, Alhaji Muhammad Ibrahim Gamawa explained that the NGO is to advocate for robust anti corruption measures and support efforts to combat corruption in all ramifications.

He stated that the NGO also seek through the advocacy, to institutionalize an effective and accessible justice systems that can fight corruption and help build a culture of transparency and accountability”thereby promoting a more inclusive governance and getting back on track of our founding fathers built on patriotism, ethical standards and Integrity.”

According to the national chairman, AIRLiN has resolved to reawaken the consciousness of all categories of Nigerians to their rights and obligations as citizens,also to re- inculcate the value and spirit of Civic responsibility, commitment to economic self-reliance through harnessing their energies and natural resources into productive use.

” And the need to eschew all vices such as banditry, kidnapping, corruption, dishonesty,drug abuse and being informants to disgruntled elements and thuggery among others.

” We therefore urged you to join this advocacy in re-inculcating the virtues of patriotism in our daily affairs” he asserted.

Twenty five members of the NGO across the twenty five local government area of Niger state and three Zonal Coordinators of the state were presented with their certificates at the inauguration which was held at the IBB pen house press center in Minna at the weekend.

Those inaugurated Include Mallam Jibrin Shehu Coordinator in-charge of Zone A, Alhaji Yahaya Idris Abara in-charge of Zone B,and Habibi Bobi Abdullahi in-charge of Zone C.

Speaking with Journalists in an interview, the Niger State Coordinator of AIRLIN Mallam Mohammed Sani Ayawa, disclosed that the NGO will assist in checkmating and hold public office holders accountable in the discharge of their duty.

He noted the increasing rates of corruption in governance is at alarming upsurge and it will be a collective duty of the citizens to collaborate with the AIRLIN to hold those entrusted with governance accountable.

This, according to him, will reduce corruption in governance at all levels to barest level through advocacy urging the people of the state to join hands with the NGO to actualize the set mission and vision of AIRLIN.
