Niger, Kogi Gets New Custom Comptroller, Chibuoke

A new Comptroller for Niger/ Kogi Area Command, Nigeria Customs Service, Mr. PC Chibuoke has assumed duty at the Command headquarters in Minna Niger state.

This was disclosed in a press statement at weekend in Minna, by Mr Munazir Abdullahi, Public Relation Officer of the Niger/ Kogi Area Command.

Abdullahi stated that Mr Makinde upon his elevation was redeployed to the National headquarters of the Service in Abuja.

” P. C Chibuoke took over the leadership of the Area Command from Mr. BA Mankide who was recently elevated to the rank of the Assistant Comptroller General of the Service (ACG)”

While handing over the leadership of the Area command to the new Comptroller, the outgoing Comptroller, applauded the Comptroller General of the service (CG) Basir Adewale Adeniyi for giving him the opportunity to serve in the Niger/ Kogi Area command.

Makinde urged men and officers of the Command to extend their hands of supports and cooperation to the new Comptroller.

Meanwhile, the new Comptroller, Chibuoke warned smugglers and economics saboteur to desist from nefarious activities or they should be prepared to face the Onslaught of his men.

According to Comptroller Chibuoke, ” With the economic hardship in the country, the Command will go all out in making the states inhabitable for smugglers and their activities”

” At this time of economic crisis, we will not tolerate smuggling and economic sabotage. I urge you to find a legitimate business or be prepared to face the full onslaught from my men”

” You either steer clear from this ugly activities of smuggling in your own interest, or my men and officers will go after you to bring you and your ungodly activities to face the heavy weight of the law”

He emphasized, ” My deployment to Niger/Kogi Area Command was in compliance to the Comptroller General directive on revenue generation and I am not going to compromise this onerous directive”

” I am here to enforce the Comptroller General of Customs (CG) Bashir Adewale Adeniyi directives on revenue generation and suppression of smuggling and their activities”

” These directives will not be compromised by me. The Area commands under my leadership and my committed men and officers of these area commands have zero tolerance for smuggling activities.

” Like I said, I will make the area commands of Niger/ Kogi of the Nigeria Customs Service very unbearable for you and your smuggling trade. You either look for elsewhere, or be ready to encounter unpleasant environment with my men” he warned

He charged men and officers of the Commands to redouble their commitment and efforts towards consolidating on the success of the command, Nigeria Customs Service and Nigeria at large.

Assuring that the Comptroller General (CG) was determined to improve and better the well being of officers.

He warned the officers to always guide against any act that is inimical to the reputation of the service.
