Niger: Govt official Kolo, warn youths to shun nationwide protest.

The Special Adviser on Political and Strategy to the Niger State Governor Alhaji Muhammad Nma Kolo, has warned youths in Niger State to refrain from participating in the proposed mass protest slated for August.

He noted that youths of Niger State are known to be well-behaved and highly disciplined, urging them to continue to exhibit the conducts already known of them.

Alhaji Nma Kolo made the call in an interview with Journalists on Monday in his office, Minna.

He stated that the proposed nationwide protest was unnecessary as the government was already mapping out a plan to address the suffering of the people.

Kolo mentioned the grains to be sold to include, rice, maize, sorghum, millet, beans among others.

Explaining that Governor Alhaji Umar Mohammed Bago had constituted a committee to sell grains to all households in Niger State at fifty percent discount to reduce the hardship being experienced by the people.

According to him, sale centers have been set up where the grains will be sold across the twenty-five local government areas at a subsidized price.

He explained that civil servants in the state will also be considered in the sale of the grains to be paid on four installments.

Kolo assured that Governor Bago has the feeling of his people at heart which necessitated his commitment to better their lives through the sales of the grains at the fifty percent discount.

He appealed to the people of Niger State to continue to exhibit their faith in the leadership of Governor Bago, stressing the needs for the people to pray for him to succeed in his developmental stride.
