Niger State Government has signed Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), with private developers Specialize Engineering and Integrated Service Ltd and Tis-Buk Reality Ltd., to construct four thousand housing units in the State.
The Housing projects is through Public Private Partnership in collaboration with the Niger State Housing Corporation.
Recall that the MOU was earlier signed in 2016, but could not progress due to lack of financing and partnership.
The Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Specialize Engineering and Integrated Service Ltd, Dr. Faseyemi Victor Ajileye, and the firm’s Legal Adviser, Barrister GIMBA Mohammed, said with the signing of the MOU, the company will move to site within the next thirty days.
Already, he explained that the company is to partner with a Minna based estate developer, Tis-Buk Reality Ltd, who has indicated interest to finance the project through Public Private Partnership (PPP) along with the Niger state Housing Corporation (NSHC),
According to him, the estate which will be constructed on sixty hectares of land will be situated in Tutungo Community along MINNA- Abuja express road with the first phase of 1,596 housing units.
Also speaking, the former general manager of the Niger state Housing Corporation (NSHC) QS Mohammed Baba Adamu disclosed that the Niger state government is committed to the providing affordable housing to the low income earners and members of the public which informed the partnership.
He noted that with the signing of the MOU, ” is expected that within the next thirty days, the groundbreaking ceremony will commence in earnest”
The regional manager of Tis-Buk Realty Ltd Mrs. Harrish Ballah Yerima assured that the company will live up to its mandate towards the speedy completion of the project.
She applauded the management of Specialize Engineering Service Ltd for partnering with the management of Tis-Buk Reality Ltd, assuring that they will immediately mobilize workers to site.
