The Emir of Minna, Niger State, Dr. Umar Faruq Bahago has admonished Nigerians to always exhibit positive attitude in their dealings and conduct for the betterment of the society.
The Emir gave the advise when the National Chairman of Advocacy for Integrity and Rule of Law Initiatives, Alhaji Mohammed Ibrahim Gamawa led his executive members on a courtesy visit to his palace on Monday.
He stated that Nigerians should also continue to pray for an end to the lingering hardship and insecurity bedeviling the country.
Dr.Umar Farouk Bahago noted that moral decadence in the society needs the commitment of all and sundry inorder to entrench an egalitarian society.
The Emir of Minna then pledged the support and cooperation of his emirate to the activities of the Initiative for it to succeed in it’s mandate.
Speaking earlier, National Chairman of Advocacy for Integrity and Rule of Law Initiatives , Alhaji Mohammed Ibrahim Gamawa said he was at the palace to intimate the Emir on the establishment and activities of the gruop in Niger State.
He said the NGO was established to rekindle patriotism and national cohesion amongst Nigerians and to assist in the fight against corruption and other social vices in the country.
Alhaji Gamawa solicited the support and cooperation of the emirate council for the initiative to succeed in the fight against all forms of anti social behaviors amongst the citizenry.
He however sympathized with the emirate council on the frequent attacks by bandits in almost all the local Government areas in the emirate and prayed for an end to the dastardly act in the state.
Gamawa further condoled the Emir of Minna over the loss of lives during the collapsed of a mining site in Galadiman kogo and prayed God to grant eternal rest to those who lost their lives.
He further commiserated with the Emir over the demise of Alhaji Yakubu Salau former chairman of Chanchaga Local Government council and prayed God to forgive his shortcomings and give the family and the emirate the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
