Six Assistant Controllers General of Corrections (ACGs) have been elevated to rank of Deputy Controller General of Corrections (DCG), by President Ahmed Bola Tinubu.
The newly promoted officers include, Abolade Victor Benson, Mamman Hamidu, Olarewaju Amoran, Lydia Abraham, Mohammed Idris, and Dr. Ado Sale.
Decorating the newly elevated DCGs at the Nigerian Immigration Service headquarters in Abuja Wednesday, Minister of Interior, Dr. Olubumi Tunji-Ojo tasked them to support the Controller General of the Service, (CGS) Nababa Halidu towards providing efficient management in their respective services.
This was contained in a press statement on Thursday, signed by Abubakar Danlami Umar ACCs, Head, Media and Public Relation Unit, Nigeria Correctional Service (NCS) Headquarters in Abuja.
He further urged them to be innovative and bring their experiences and professionalism to bare so as to improve efficiency and provide effective leadership that will translate into good governance in line with the Renewed Hope Agenda.
The Minister mentioned that since the inception of the current administration, promotion exercise in the various Services under the Ministry have been regular and released within the stipulated year of promotion, a departure from the past where promotion exercise spill into the succeeding year.
He further stated that in about two (2) months from now, the next batch of promotion will be released.
Tunji-Ojo enjoined the promoted officers to put hands on deck to deliver in their new positions as to whom much is given, much is also expected.
