Hon. Danjuma Abdullahi Masu, Chairmanship aspirant of All Progressives Congress APC for Chanchaga Local Government Council, in Niger State, has vowed to tackle the menace of insecurity and youth restiveness in the area.
He assured that his administration will collaborate with all the relevant security agencies to curtail the activities of youths restiveness bedeviling Minna and its environs over the years.
According to the Chairmanship aspirant, he will take the youths out of the streets and engage them in meaningful venture that will have direct bearings on their lives ” If given the mandate at the poll”
Speaking in an exclusive interview with theplacenews.com in Minna Wednesday,, Hon. Masu disclosed that as a one time member of the Chanchaga Legislative Council, he was already in tune with the reality of the problems, assuring that he will synergize with all security chiefs in the council to curtail the trends.
He noted that no meaningful development will be achieved in an unsecured community, insisting that the security of the people of Chanchaga will no be compromised under his administration.
” There will be no meaningful development without peace and security. Our main and cardinal objective if voted into office as Mayor or Chairman of Chanchaga council Chairman is to secure our people”
” The issue of youth restiveness and thuggery within Minna and its sorounding will be curtailed to its barest level. This will be achieved when you involved every critical stakeholders”
” The area Commander, Divisional Police Officers, DSS, Civil Defence, and the military and every other relevant security agencies will be involved in piloting the affairs of the council”
” In involving all these agencies and Community leaders within Minna tell me how wouldn’t Minna be secured. So, like I said every stakeholders will be involved in the affairs of my administration” he stated.
Speaking further, Hon. Danjuma Masu explained that Minna, as the state capital needed to be secure for business to thrive this according to him will only be realise if the people are secured
He posited that his administration will engage youths in artisanal empowerment rather than political empowerment that will bring food to their table saying,” I don’t believe in political empowerment but engage these youths with artisanal empowerment that will keep them busy in their respective shops”
He disclosed that he was dragged out to aspire for the position of the council Chairman by his well wishers adding ” after every consultations with my family members and friends I now decided to accept, assuring that if given the mandate he will continue to build that confidence already reposed on him.
