The Kaduna State leadership of Labour Party (LP) insisted there was no local government elections held in the state.
The opposition party vehemently rejected the local governments election results announced by KAD-SIECOM Chairperson, for the 23 local governments in Kaduna State.
According to statement made available to newsmen in Kaduna by Comrade Idris Yusuf, the State Publicity Secretary, it noted that “It is quite surprising and unfortunate that the Chairperson of KAD-SIECOM announced the so called election results, even when election materials were yet to reach most polling units across the local governments”
“It is obvious and painful that the result of the election was predetermined and our candidates were made to go through rigorous electioneering campaign, loosing valuable time and resources”
“We want to advise our esteemed members and supporters to remain calm, as we would do everything possible to seek legal redress to correct the abnormally”, it stated.
