Prof. Emmanuel Ibe Kachikwu, former Minister of State for Petroleum Resources, has commended the heroes who made great sacrifices for democracy in Nigeria.
Kachikwu in a brief statement he posted on his social media platforms on Thursday to mark June 12, said, “ June 12 reminds us that democracy is not a destination but a living commitment — guarded daily by active, informed citizens”
He continued, “ I honour the heroes who paved this road and the millions who keep it open with their voices and votes. Happy Democracy Day, Nigeria”
As Nigeria celebrate June 12, it is also very important that Nigerians irrespective of tribe and religion should pursue peace, love and unity.
