Senator Joel-Onowakpo Thomas, FCA, representing Delta South Senatorial District, Delta State, has commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Senate President, Senator Godswill Obot Akpabio, and Deputy Senate President, Senator Barau Jibrin on his appointment as Chairman, Senate Committee on Local Content.
On his Facebook page on Tuesday, Senator Joel-Onowakpo Thomas stated, “ I am profoundly grateful to His Excellency, President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, the President of the Senate, His Excellency Senator Godswill Obot Akpabio GCON, the Deputy President of the Senate, His Excellency Senator Barau Jibrin CFR, the Senate Majority Leader, His Excellency Senator Michael Bamidele Opeyemi CON, and the entire Senate leadership, as well as my esteemed colleagues and friends for their support and confidence reposed in me through my appointment as Chairman, Senate Committee on Local Content”
The lawmaker, also noted, “ This honour is not taken lightly, and I pledge to discharge my duties with utmost dedication, integrity, and a deep commitment to the advancement of our legislative responsibilities.
