Excitement as over 60 indigenes of Agbon Kingdom, in Ethiope East Local Government Area, Delta State, have been gifted 12 Tricycles, 12 Motorcycles, 12 Sewing machine, 12 Grinding machines 12 Hair Dryers and 1,000 packs of 2 kilo of rice.
The items were presented to the beneficiaries by Ejovi Family Foundation, a non governmental organization, at the grand finale to celebrate 70 years birthday anniversary of the her founder, Chief Johnbull Ejovi.
Also, the Ejovi Family Foundation had earlier embarked on a free comprehensive eye screening for over 2,000 person, dispensing of free medical eyeglasses to 200 persons, 400 eye drops and eye surgeries for 22 person with serious cases cataract.
Speaking at the event, the celebrant, Chief Johnbull Ejovi said, “My story and where I am coming from is far and that is why people are rejoicing with me and iwant to thank God for what he has done for me”
“And in doing that I have come back to give back to my people and I am not competing with anyone or politician because many of them are my children”
“The beginning of the journey was rough and haven come this far, indeed to come back to the society and help others and put joy on their faces”
He continued, “I am appealing to the beneficiaries of this empowerment never to sell whatever thing they have been given rather they should make judicious use of them to earn a living.”
A prominent Business mogul, High Chief Emonena Victor Egukawhore congratulated Chief Ejovi, on his birthday.
Egukawhore commended the kind gesture of Ejovi, adding that “ The celebrant ( Ejovi) has come back to give back to humanity and we are wishing him the very best”
Another notable figure, Chief Tunde Smooth, Bulou-owei of Niger Delta described Chief Ejovi as a generous man.
He said, “ As you can see the entire communities are happy with him”
Wife of the celebrant, Chief Mrs. Ejovi while celebrating her husband said, “ Seeing him celebrating 70 years today is one of my happiest day, he is very strong, healthy, it is a thing of joy for me and the entire family and it is my prayers that he should continue to wax stronger.”
The beneficiaries were nominated from Eku, Igun, Okpara, Orhoakpor, Kokori and Isiokolo that made up Agbon kingdom.
