Hoodlums Attack NSCDC official In Niger State

Suspected hoodlums have attacked the spokesman of Niger State Command of Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), DSC Ibrahim Rabiu Muti.

The NSCDC official was attacked while returning from work on Friday 25th October, 2024.

It was learnt that Ibrahim Rabiu was attacked at about 8 pm, along federal housing estate in Gbeganu area of Chanchaga local council of the state within Minna, the state capital where he was stabbed twice on his stomach.

When contacted on phone, DSC Ibrahim Muti, confirmed the attack, explaining that 9 persons attacked him inside tricycle after been stopped by two person to board and suddenly they came out of the nearby bush.

He further said he was stabbed with knife, they took away his phone and other valuables.

Noting that one of the hoodlum discovered his uniform trousers and notified others that ‘he is a uniform man, he is a soldier and they abandoned him with injuries.

According to him, it was his uniform trouser that saved him, adding that the other passengers have dropped leaving only him with the rider before the incident occurred.

He said the criminals were carrying knives, cutlasses, dagger and sticks (Gora).

The NSCDC official has been discharged from the hospital and responding to treatment.

The activities of phone thieves and other criminal elements is on the increase in Minna and its environs in recent times as residents now leave in perpetual fear of the unpleasant activities of these hudlooms.

The attack on NSCDC official is one out of many attacks on residents of Minna by these thieves.

Most of these hudlooms who are teenagers carried out their nefarious activities under the influence of hard drugs and armed with dangerous weapons such as knives, Cutlass and sharp objects they carried in attacking their Victims.
