- Urge Herders, farmers to live in peace

Dr Ahmed Abdullahi Hassan, Yakanaje of Uke Kingdom in Nasarawa Stats, has congratulated Senator President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor of Nasarawa State , Engineer Abdullahi Sule on Eid El Kabir celebration.
The monarch spoke at Uke prayer ground led by the Chief Imam, Alhaji Aliyu Usman on Sunday.
Dr. Hassan was joined by the immediate past Minister of Environment and the Magajin Gari of Uke chiefdom, Barrister Mohammad Abdullahi Hassan.
The monarch while addressing his subjects at the palace expressed profound gratitude to Almighty Allah for life, provisions and guidance.
He said the uniqueness of Eid El Kabir each year is on the fact that God enables his people to witness and celebrate in good health.
According to the monarch, the people of Uke Kingdom must abide and respect the laws of the land.
Adding that, ” Always have it in their mind that Uke community is not as it was, it is now a town that has daily influx of people from all parts of the country who are settled for one business or the other”
” It is on this note that I want to urge you all to be lovers of peace and merchant of unity”
” Let me call on those who have formed the habit of causing unrest in the city, especially our youths who are known for burning of tyres and touring round towns with fire works and knock out to desist henceforth,gone are days where such will be tolerated”
” We shall henceforth subject any one caught in the act to the appropriate security for prosecution.At this juncture I am appealing to both farmers and herders never to breach the law. No herder should allow his cattles to graze on the farms and same goes to the farmers do not take the law into your hands in the event that you finds cattle on your farm land. Help us by reporting such incident to the security for appropriate action to be taken”
Also, the immediate past Minister of Environment Barrister Mohammad Abdullahi Hassan thanked the Almighty Allah for saving the lives of all Nigerians who are alive to witness this year Sallah celebration.
He congratulated the President Tinubu and Governor Sule for leading the country and the state in the best of their abilities for national development.
” So my message to all Nigerians today is to believe in the country and believe in the leadership of the country with hope that the future is going to be bright.
” Yes we are passing through very difficult times today in terms of cost of living and the rest, but with perseverance and support to our leadership at all levels from the local, state and the federal government, it is possible we are going to overcome”
” I am passing this as a message of hope, message of resilience and support to our leadership in order for us to come out of whatever challenges we are face with today”
Earlier, the Karshi Development Area Overseer , Honourable Ibrahim Arafat, delivered a good will message from the Governor to the royal father of Yakanaje Uke Kingdom.
The said the governor sent his felicitation to the entire people of Uke Kingdom for conducting themselves in a very orderly manner, assuring that he ( Governor) has not forgotten the people of Uke community and that he will in no distance time do what is expected of him to the people of Uke Kingdom.
Arafat appreciated the royal father for his commitment to the development of the area as well as his proactive leadership which has helped in stabilizing the recent uprising at Roguwa.
” I want us to note that our environment has today become a rich mining place where activities of mining has become so high , especially that what was found in our land is Gold amongst other previous mineral, so I am appealing to us all to take advantage in this development so that we can reap the benefits against any act that will bring us back”
