Chief Maj P.A Egone (Rtd) Member Delta State Advisory and Peace Building Council (DSAPBC) has commended His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, The Executive Governor of Delta State, for the prudent management of the State resources.
The Ex-President General of Ughelli Descendants Union (UDU) and a Leader of Peoples Democratic Party PDP in Ughelli North Local Government Area, stated this on Saturday in Ughelli.
Egone commended Governor Oborevwori who had saved billions of Naira within one year and two months in office to pay debts owed by the State Government.
Governor Oborevwori has not borrowed money to fund infrastructure projects being executed across the State.
Egone also commended the Governor’s efforts in reducing the State dept profile as laudable because the State would have more financial ability to develop the state.
He further appealed to the people of Delta State irrespective of their political affiliations to continue supporting and encouraging Governor Oborevwori as he is fulfilling his MORE Agenda and electoral promises to the People of Delta State.
He advised residents to shun violence and crime related activities capable of undermining the prevailing peace in the State, adding that no investor will want to invest in an environment that is not safe and peaceful.
He lauded Governor Oborevwori on the just concluded Local Government Council elections, held peacefully, while also congratulating the respective Chairmen and Councilors who have assumed office.
