Egbo: We Are Fully Committed To Environmental Conservation, Sustainability In Ughelli North

Olorogun (Barr) Jaro Movudu Egbo KSC, the Executive Chairman of Ughelli North Local Government Council, has reiterated that his administration was fully committed to environmental conservation and sustainability.

Egbo stated this on Friday 12th September, 2025, when he received Hon. Ejiro Jamani, Delta State Commissioner for Environment, on a working visit to his office.

The Council Chairman noted, “ We will continue to partner with the state government to ensure a cleaner, healthier environment for our people.”

The visit underscores the commitment of both state and local governments to foster collaboration and strengthen their relationship.

During the visit, discussions focused on exploring ways to deepen cooperation in achieving environmental objectives within Ughelli North LGA.

Speaking, Jamani emphasized the need for synergy, stating, “The task of building a sustainable environment cannot be achieved in isolation. We must work hand in hand with local governments to make lasting impact.”

Egbo expressed gratitude for the Commissioner’s visit and reaffirmed his administration’s readiness to support state-driven initiatives.

“ This meeting marks an important step in strengthening the partnership between the Delta State Government and the Ughelli North Local Government Council in the collective pursuit of sustainable environmental management”
