The newly appointed Provost of the College of Health Sciences and Technology, Ofuoma-Ughelli, Dr. (Mrs.) Congrat E. Odiete, on Monday, December 15, 2025, paid a familiarization visit to the Executive Chairman of Ughelli North Local Government Council, Olorogun Barr Jaro Movudu Egbo, KSC, at his office.
The visit was aimed at formally introducing herself to the council chairman following her recent appointment and to strengthen institutional relationships between the college and the local government authority.
Dr. Odiete was accompanied by some senior members of the management and staff of the institution.
Egbo, warmly welcomed them and congratulated Dr. Odiete on her well-deserved appointment as Provost.
He expressed confidence in her leadership capacity and assured her of the local government council’s commitment to fostering a cordial and collaborative relationship with the College of Health Sciences and Technology.
The chairman further emphasized the importance of partnership between educational institutions and local government authorities in promoting quality healthcare training and community development within Ughelli North Local Government Area.
Dr. Odiete, in her remarks, expressed gratitude to the chairman for the warm reception and pledged her administration’s readiness to work closely with the council to advance the goals of the institution and contribute meaningfully to healthcare development in the locality.
The visit marked a significant step towards strengthening cooperation and mutual understanding between the College of Health Sciences and Technology, Ofuoma-Ughelli, and the Ughelli North Local Government Council.
