Egbema Youths Mourns Clark, Describes Him Pillar Of N-Delta

The Egbema Youth Political Forum (EGYPF) in Delta and Edo states has also joined millions of Nigerians mourning the demise of foremost Ijaw Leader, Pa. Edwin Kiagbodo Clark, who died at 97.

It said Clark was the leading voice for justice, equity and transparency in Niger Delta and the Nation at large.

Chairman of the group, Barr. Ebigbagha S. Baidi in a statement on Thursday 20th of February, 2025, noted that Pa Clark was a true democrat whose immense contributions to Niger Delta and Nigeria as a whole will not be forgotten in a hurry.

“ We would miss him dearly for his unquantifiable wealth of experience in Nation building. Pa Clark was a great pillar to the minority ethnic groups, a fearless Elder Statesman who was known for speaking truth to power undermining who is involved. The wellbeing of Ijaw Nation and Niger Delta in particular was his major priority all through his lifetime. We, the younger generation learnt a lot from our departed hero and Father”

The forum sympathized with the immediate family of the late icon, Burutu Local Government and the entire Ijaw Nation stating that, his departure has created an indelible space in the political landscape of Niger Delta.

Also, the Spokesman of the group, Barr. Ebiterigha Divine Ejemi expressed sadness over the passing unto glory of the quintessential leader, Clark.

“Pa Edwin clark is gone in the flesh; yet, his legacy remains, and his spirit lives on through the impressive works that he has left behind”.

“ A person is remembered for good or bad, depending on the manner in which you chose to live your life while on earth. Pa Edwin Clark will continue to be celebrated posthumously because of his patriotic disposition for his country and love for humanity. May the departed soul of our great patriot, leader and father rest in the Lord”, he added.
