A 36 years old Digital Artist and Craftsperson, in Niger State, Mr Ephraim Adayilo Gwamna, has decried the incessant attacks by armed bandits.
He called on the security forces to as a matter of urgency come to their rescue.
Gwamna said the attacks by armed bandits in recent times had already displaced most of his family from their homes as they now live in Internally Displaced Person Camp (IDP) in some places within Gwada in Shiroro Local Government and other neighboring community.
According to him most residents have now abandoned their homes for fear of being attacked.
Gwamna in an interview with newsmen in Minna on Thursday, explained that in the last four months residents of Gidanwaya, Guni and Sarkin Pawa in Muya Local Government area of Niger State have suffered unpleasant attacks in the hands of armed bandits.
Noting he has lost some of his beloved ones and relatives to the bandits in the early part of March this year as a result of the insecurity in the area.
He disclosed further that in one of the attacks carried out by the deadly armed bandits he had to abandon his family and now taken refuge in Madala area in Suleja local government area .
” Since the attacks launched on my Community, I cannot reach out to my family. I don’t know their where about not until last two Months ( August) that I was told that my wife and children have relocated to Minna to stay with her brother” he stated.
Already ,he explained that their Community is now a ghost town as residents have completely abandoned their ancestral home for fear of the activities of armed bandits.
Speaking further, Mr Adayilo Gwamna who looked visibly disturbed told Journalists that the incessant attacks on their Community has forced farmers to abandon their farmlands this farming season describing the trends as painful.
” As a result of the deadly activities of these armed men, my people were forced to abandon their farm this farming season
” We are in a painful mood with the Unwholesome activities of armed bandits. We have suffered untold attacks in the hands of these terrorist group. We have now turned to refugees in our own land” he told Journalists in an emotional laden tune.
He then appealed to Niger State governor Umar Mohammed Bago to as a matter of necessity deploy security forces to their Community to safeguard them
