The Delta State Traffic Management Authority DESTMA, has screened some top officials including the Provost and Surveillance team to ensure operational efficiency.
Director General of DESTMA, Hon. Dr. Benjamin Essien Okiemute, supervised the screening where he cautioned officials to maintain the rules of operations.
He warned that lateness will no longer be tolerated, and staff are expected to adhere to scheduled times.
Okiemute inspected officials for proper attire, and none were found wanting.
He advised officials to follow the hierarchical order, making calls to their designated officers (DO) and the Director General (DG) when necessary.
Additionally, he urged them to prioritize peace and avoid confrontations, instead taking note of offenders’ plate numbers for apprehension.

He warned against impersonation, citing recent cases in Warri where individuals were arrested and handed over to authorities for prosecution, potentially facing jail time.
