The Director General of Delta State Traffic Management Authority DESTMA, Hon. Dr. Benjamin Essien Okiemute has tasked transport operators and workers on road safety rules.
Okiemute gave the charge during a meeting with transport operstors and workers applying Asaba/Onitsha Routine in Asaba Delta State.
The meeting aims to fostering solidarity and discussing ways to improve road safety and decorum in the state capital.
Discussions focused on the need for discipline among drivers and the relocation of their garage to a more suitable location.
The Director General of the Agency, emphasized the importance of adhering to rules and regulations in the state capital as directed by the Executive Governor of Delta State, Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori
The transport workers’ Chairman, Comrade Sylvester, expressed willingness to comply with the state’s demands, citing the need for adjustments to meet new requirements.
Okiemute, stressed the importance of acting according to given directives to ensure safety and decorum on the roads in order to protect all road users in line with the MORE Agenda
