The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Delta State, has fixed Saturday 31st, August 2024, for State Congress, holding at the Cenotaph, Asaba by 10:00am.
Delegates and aspirants for various offices are to be seated by 9:00am.
This was disclosed in a statement on Wednesday by Engr. Dan Ossai, State Secretary, PDP, Delta State.
The following delegates for the State Congress are the Governor and the Deputy Governor of Delta State, former Governors and Deputies, serving and former members of the BOT, members of the party’s State Executive Committee, serving and former members of the NEC and ZEC.
Others are serving and former Former members of the National Assembly, serving members of DTHA and former Principal Officers DTHA, Local Government Council Chairmen and Vice Chairmen, all Local Government Party Executive members, all National Assembly and Delta State House of Assembly Candidates of the PDP in the last general election, three delegates from the Wards, former members of the State Working Committee of PDP.
Also attending are former Local Government Area Party Chairmen, one Physically Challenged Person per Local Government Area, all serving elected Local Government Councilors, all serving Chairmen, Deputy Chairmen, Secretaries, Women and Youth Leaders of the Wards in the State, and all National Delegates.
The stated insisted that all the categories of persons mentioned above must still be members of the party.
