As Delta State celebrates 34 years of creation, the Executive Director of Finance and Administration EDFA, Delta State Producing Areas Development Commission (DESOPADEC), Chief Oghenekome Reginald Okpobor has charged Urhobo, Itsekiri, Ijaw, Isoko, Anioma to live in peace, be tolerant and remain united.
Okpobor in a statement on Wednesday posted on his Facebook handle, said the people of Delta State were bounded by a common destiny.
” At 34, Delta State shines as a beacon of unity in diversity, blessed with vibrant ethnic nationalities bound by a common destiny”
The chieftain of All Progressives Congress APC stated, “ As we celebrate, let us remember that our strength lies in peace, tolerance, and being our brother’s keeper”
“ Together, Urhobo, Itsekiri, Ijaw, Isoko, Anioma and others can build a prosperous Delta that stands as a model of harmony and progress for Nigeria”
