The Director General, Operation Delta Hawk, Delta State, Hon. David Tonwe, has congratulated His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Elder Sheriff Oborevwori, on his 62nd birthday anniversary.
In a goodwill message, Tonwe lauded Governor Oborevwori’s unwavering commitment to transforming Delta State, particularly in the area of security architecture and infrastructure development.
According to the DG, under the present administration, Delta State is poised to witness a new dawn in crime fighting with a clear trajectory towards zero tolerance for criminal activities. He noted that strategic security systems have been deployed across the state to combat crimes effectively.
He specifically applauded the launch of “Operation Sweep,” describing it as a landmark initiative and one of the boldest moves made by any administration in the state to tackle insecurity head on.
Tonwe remarked that Operation Sweep, alongside other complementary security efforts, has reinvigorated the morale of security personnel and restored public confidence in the government’s ability to protect lives and property.
While acknowledging the Governor’s developmental strides, especially in road construction and other critical infrastructure, Tonwe said these improvements further serve as deterrents to crime by opening up communities and promoting socio economic activities.
The DG expressed deep appreciation to all security personnel who are actively engaged in the fight against crime, saying their sacrifices and commitment remain invaluable to the peace and stability being enjoyed across the state.
While offering prayers for His Excellency on his birthday, asking for divine wisdom, fresh ideas, and continued vision to lead Delta State into greater progress and prosperity.
