Atiku visits Babangida, Abdulsalam in Minna

The Former Vice-president Atiku Abubakar on Wednesday visited two former military leaders General Ibrahim Babangida and General Abdulsaam Abubakar at their uphill mansions in Minna, Niger State.

Atiku Abubakar who arrived Ahmed Bola Tinubu International airport Minna through a chartered plane landed at the airport at 4.15 pm Nigeria time was received by some PDP supporters and drove straight to the IBB uphill mansion

The former Vice-President had a close door discussions with the two former military leaders for over two hours on the current suffering in the country and unabated security trends.

Although, Journalists were not allowed in as some security operatives at the gate said ” the visit of the former Vice-president to the former military leaders is just to pay the usual Sallah homage to them.

“As you know we are still in Sallah moods. So there is nothing new in the former Vice-president visit to the former leaders is the usual routine” the security operatives at the gates told anxious newsmen.

According to a source close to General Ibrahim Babangida who craved for annonimity, the former Vice-president decried the increasing rates of hunger, poverty and insecurity bedeviling the country under the present administration of All Progressive Congress (APC) which he described as worrisome.

However, the source further told Journalists that Babangida while recieving his guest told him that Nigerians should continue to pray for the peace and unity of the country at all times.

He said the unity of the country should not be compromised by all, stressing the needs for Nigerians at all levels to see the unity of the country as sacrosanct.

“Although , Abdulsalam Abubakar as you know is not a politician, the former vice president payed a Sallah homage to the former military head of state. He received him and that is just what the former Vice-president visit to the two former leaders”

The former Vice-president however declined to speak to Journalists only told Journalists ” that I just pay Sallah homage to my two former boss and that is all”
