Security Operatives Raid Hotels, Arrest Suspects In Kaduna

Security operatives suspected to be task force have carried out raids on hotels in kaduna state and arrested dozens crimes suspects.

The raided which occurred Tuesday early in the nighttime was witnessed in Ungwan Boro community in Sabo Tasha, Chikun LGA of Kaduna state suburb.

Insider eyewitness and our Correspondent who witnessed last stage of the incident reported that the security operatives drove in convoys into the De Jay’s Guest In small gate located at Jaba road around 8 pm.

The Hotel staffs who spoke on anonymity, confirmed that dozens suspected drugs addicts including Yahoo boys and a regular guest were arrested and taken away by the operatives.

Some of the staff were beaten with slaps for misbehaving to the operatives, and drugs spotted in the possession of some of the suspects.

Eyewitness alleged that the raid was not restricted to De Jay’s Hotel alone, but others hotels of similar incident within hotel, in Sabon Tasha and other places within and outside the radius of the community.

According to an insider the guest room of a regular guest lodger popularly known and address as Jessy was burgled when the guest refused to heed the knocks by the security operatives to open the door.

Contacted, kaduna Police State command spokesman, DSP Mansir Hassan was yet to respond before the filling of this reports.

“Security operatives raided De Jays guest In hotel located in Ungwan Boro early in the night of yesterday Tuesday and arrested dozens of crimes suspects including one popular regular guest bearing Jessy. Is the command aware with any details pls?”, been the clarification message sent to the police spokesman.

In kaduna, it’s alleged that artisans, mechanics boys and other trades and handworks boys have quite their trades for yahoo racketing business in quest for get rich quick syndrome.

Recalled that recently Special Task Force established by Governor Uba Sani of kaduna state to combat gang activities and phone snatching in Kaduna State recovered arms and apprehended 398 suspects across various locations.

A statement issued by the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), DSP Hassan Mansir, disclosed that the swift and targeted raids, driven by credible intelligence, also prompted many criminals to flee Kaduna State out of fear of arrest.
